CocoonU organic loofah soaps – loved by men!

Ok, so we know girls and boys both adore our organic loofah soaps. The word is spreading fast and they are now being used in far-away places, as well as closer to home in the UK. However, we thought we would focus for a moment on the men, having had several complaints and additional purchases from some of our devoted CocoonU ladies, due to their menfolk wearing down said loofah soap to a fragment or, even worse, stealing it for their business travels ..

Come on fellas – if you love our loofah soaps so much buy you own and purchase a travel size for business trips!

We have had some great comments from male CocoonU-ites recently and thought we would share them with you. If you think cleansing, moisturising and exfoliating (all-in-one with the loofah soap) is still the sole domain of the ladies, read on….

Exfoliating definitely exists in the male vocabulary these days, but exerting time and effort finding the right product and having an additional task to add to the morning shower ritual is another matter. Problem solved; soften skin while you soap with this magical bar. Both soaps have heavenly uplifting fragrances, but the lemon/honey is particularly popular with the men for its awakening aroma, which really livens the senses first thing and gives a great start to the day.

An unexpected additional winning bonus, comes in the form of large numbers of points gained with the ladies around the desirability of a man who takes care of himself! The stealthy woman will take a peek around a mans’ bathroom in the early stages of courtship (if you didn’t know that, the secret is now out..). Upon sight of products indicating an interest in looking after himself and his bod, she will be happy indeed. In the case of the loofah soap, she can use it too. Happy days.

Finally, the overall feel-good factor of using a fab, pampering product on stressed male skin has been heard from several users. It’s not just the girls who like a bit of TLC and we are glad CocoonU is helping spread the word.

Vanessa will be there promoting our fabulous Boutique in Harrogate (5 Montpellier Mews, HG1 2TQ) and will be showing a selection of gorgeous ethically sourced cashmere, organic skincare and pieces from our new handmade jewellery range (currently only available in our boutique!)

PRODUCT REVIEW – CHAMOMILE, ROSE & HONEY SHAMPOO BARS

Always a fan of essential oils and sporting a bathroom crammed with a wide variety of products, I have always loved the organic shampoo bars upon their arrival at CocoonU HQ, but have remained devoted to the Rosemary & Lavender bar since first use – its awakening fragrance and the lovely shine it brings to my hair causing me to become addicted (plus the fact it lasts for months) . However, due to the winter season drying out my thatch, I decided to try the Chamomile, Rose and Honey bar for a hair pick me up.

I am so glad I did! The most striking feature of this product is the absolutely heavenly aroma. Tuned essential oil senses will be able to pick out the individual fragrance of each of the three main ingredients and together they form the most beautiful scent, that is also long lasting. Late for an assignment last week and with hair not properly dried, I arrived to find the heating had broken down with only a fan heater for warmth. A quick blast (at a safe distance..) from the heater on my hair to render me presentable (note: not to be tried at home.. but the same effect can be achieved with a hair dryer!) had the unexpected effect of filling the whole room with the divine smell of chamomile, roses and honey, blended to perfection… provoking subsequent questions on the source of this touch of heaven in the air. Vanessa was deeply impressed, but would like to say this is over and above the expectations of product promotion!

Soft, moisturised hair also resulted from my shampoo bar experimentation. I definitely need to explore the whole range…

Cashmere works all year round – even in Egypt!

Just back from Egypt Vanessa has living proof that cashmere can be worn all year round. Although temperatures were in the mid 80’s during the day, at night coolness descended and both the 100% cashmere lace shawl (zig zag taupe for Vanessa) and 100% cashmere grey wrap were in permanent evening use. Both pieces survived (crease free) a long flight and an interesting 3 hour delay in Cyprus!

At CocoonU HQ we like the idea of our products being mentioned and used in the beautiful land of Oz. Staff are hoping a field trip may be required to spread the word in person…
